"New Beginnings; A Tale of Tragic Endings"

In 2022 I had to undergo emergency gallbladder surgery. One afternoon, during a graduation party, I was fortunate enough to tie into one of my cousin's delicious hamburgers fresh off the grill.

The next morning, I drove myself to the hospital emergency room for what I thought was a terrible gas pain from that awesome burger.

After spending all day at the hospital, my gallbladder's life was "tragically ended" at 12:30am when sectioned into four pieces and yanked out of my belly button! More on this "House of Horrors" experience later.

The emergency room and the lead up to the surgery was wildly entertaining, exciting and a complete horror show all at the same time - the drugs ended up being good which made the adventure seem surreal.

Post-op and healing went according to plan without issue. What I could not have predicted were the changes in my biology because of this "bad boy" no longer being present in my body and the resulting digestive problems I ended up dealing with for approximately one year after the surgery.

I decided to start this blog to chronicle my gallbladder adventure post-op and share with the world how I managed to finally conquer the digestive issues I struggled with for a year after the surgery.

I can honestly say that I take no medication or supplements and I am not on any formal diet plan. What I did stumble upon, quite by accident, was a lifestyle change that has resulted in healthy weight loss, an increase in energy and an overall general sense of wellbeing that I have not felt since my 30's. I am fifty-seven years old as of the writing of this post.

When you read my blog, you are reading content that I personally produce based on my own firsthand experiences.

At no point would I suggest or recommend that you change anything regarding your diet, health or lifestyle based upon anything in this blog.

I am merely documenting my personal journey for others to read and enjoy.
